My series on “Natives” is meant to feature the peculiarities of Australia’s botanical forms. And once again I find myself back on the theme of “bark”.  

Another young tree at this world famous nature reserve (it was where many of the scenes were filmed for David Attenborough’s first great documentary “Life on Earth”). The little tree trunk is simple and elegant. But I wanted more and I converted the background into a riot of colour.
