Scribbles of larvae and peeling bark on Scribbly Gum tree (Eucalyptus sclerophylla) Jervis Bay, New South Wales

When the bark peels off a eucalypt’s trunk, it’s like a snake’s skin being ripped apart to allow for new expansion. The breakup creates a multitude of mesmerizing patterns. Sometimes the scribbles of moth larvae are disclosed and they look like the writings of ancient scribes. Maybe they were recording the history of the universe. Gazing into the vortex of these primal patterns, messages and visions of eternity can unfold for the viewer. What do you read in the scribbles?
